these are my feelings on the DEA, and perhaps the FDA as well, although their involvement isn’t as direct or something. this post is here for no other reason than I have too many thoughts and feelings and suggestions and motherfuck it is frustrating. this article is a great example of how not to handle a problem. to think that the whole quota shit that the DEA has enforced would actually solve a problem like prescription drug abuse, is fucking absurd. I’d love to know how an entire government administration decided that limiting production of a controlled substance would magically stop people from abusing/illegally purchasing/illegitimately prescribing it. I know the numbers are prettier on your quarterly reports or whatever the fuck kind of bullshit your job performance is based on, but LIMITING A MANUFACTURER’S RESOURCES DOES NOT SUDDENLY MAKE PEOPLE STOP ABUSING ADDERALL OR RITALIN OR ANY PRESCRIPTION DRUG. your logic isn’t even logical enough to be flawed, it simply does not exist.

also, I’m not gonna kill anyone. not intentionally, anyway. I’m at least definitely not gonna plan it.
